This Health & Performance Disclaimer applies to https://plusultraperformance.com (the "Website") and to the online coaching services provided by Plus Ultra Performance LLC ("we", "us"). Please read it carefully before using the Website or starting any program with us. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Coaching, not medical care

Our powerlifting programming, technique review, meet preparation and accountability services are educational and coaching-oriented. They are not:

  • medical advice, medical diagnosis or medical treatment;
  • physiotherapy, rehabilitation of injuries or any other form of physical therapy;
  • psychological or psychiatric care, counseling or therapy;
  • any other service that requires a healthcare license.

Our coaching is not a substitute for the advice, diagnosis or treatment of a physician, physiotherapist, psychologist or other licensed professional. Always follow the advice of your healthcare providers; it takes priority over anything we tell you. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on the Website or receive from us.

2. Consult a physician before you start

Before starting any strength training program, you should consult a physician. This is especially important if you:

  • have a heart, lung, metabolic, joint or other medical condition, or a family history of heart disease;
  • are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or postpartum;
  • have a current or past injury, or experience pain during physical activity;
  • take prescription medication or supplements that may affect exercise, heart rate, blood pressure or blood sugar;
  • have been inactive for a long time, or are returning to training after illness or surgery.

You are responsible for obtaining any necessary medical clearance and for telling us about any condition or change in your health that may affect your training.

3. Strength training carries risk

All physical activity carries an inherent risk of injury, including muscle strains, joint injuries and, in rare cases, serious cardiovascular events. Because our coaching is delivered online, we do not physically supervise your training. You are responsible for exercising within your own capacity, using proper technique, suitable equipment and a safe environment. By choosing to follow any program or guidance, you voluntarily assume these risks, as described in our Terms of Service.

Lifting heavy loads carries a real risk of injury. Warm up, train within your current capacity, use safety pins, safety arms or a competent spotter for squats and bench presses, and never attempt a lift you cannot control. Loads, sets and attempts in your program are guidance, not obligations: on the day, you decide what is safe for you, and you can always lift less.

4. Stop and seek care

Stop exercising immediately and seek medical attention if you experience chest pain or pressure, severe shortness of breath, dizziness, light-headedness, fainting, an irregular heartbeat, sudden or sharp pain, numbness, or any other unusual symptom. Do not resume training until a healthcare professional has cleared you, and let us know so we can adjust your program.

5. No emergency service

We do not provide emergency services and we do not monitor messages in real time. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 (in the United States) or your local emergency number immediately. Do not use the contact form, email or any coaching channel to report an emergency.

6. Results vary; no guarantees

Individual results vary and depend on many factors, including genetics, age, health status, starting point, consistency, sleep, stress and lifestyle. We do not promise or guarantee any specific lift, total, competition placing, body-composition, strength, health, athletic or performance result, nor any result within a particular time frame. Any goals discussed during coaching are targets, not promises.

7. No testimonials or results published

This Website does not publish client testimonials, reviews, "before and after" images or results claims. If you see statements about our results attributed to us elsewhere, they were not published by us on this Website.

8. General information only

Information on the Website is general in nature. It is not personalized to your situation, may not be suitable for you and may not reflect the most recent research. Personalized guidance is only provided to clients within a coaching engagement, based on the information they give us, and remains subject to this Disclaimer.

9. Adults only

The Website and our services are intended only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not coach minors.

10. Contact
